Vancouver trip, day 1

Actually, it is day 2.  We got to Vancouver yesterday, and went to Capilano Rock and Gem, Opus and Ikea.  We had yummy sushi.  It was a long but good day.

Today we wandered on Main Street, and headed down to Granville Island.  We found a definite theme on our trip.  Can you spot it?

This is the Cambie Street bridge.  This intersection has been a mess for years, since they were putting in the Canada Line under the road and now the Olympic Village is nearby.

I tried to take a picture of the construction farther ahead, but my camera is baaaaad. We headed down to Granville Island so I could pick up art supplies at Opus.

We then headed up to 4th, the Comic Shop, Chocolate Arts, and a variety of bookstores.  We hung out with Evan and managed to stay up way too late in preparation for the show the next day!
